  • You can use iTunes for that. However I've used this method before for splitting my auiobooks into segments and sometimes the output file turns out with these sudden surges of static. First import the file into your iTunes library into any fileyou want. If it's got copyright protection you can download a program to remove it. Next go to the song file in the library and click on "get info". Go to the "options" tab and then the part where it says "start time" and "stop time". Enter the time in hours:minutes:seconds of the track you want begin the slice and enter the time you want to end. After you do this click "ok" and then go to the "advanced" button on the very top and convert to AAC or mp3 or whatever. Now you have your new track.
