If the police weren't involved then no.

change your look and go back. I bet they dont catch you. lol

If no charges were pressed then no, you don't have any criminal conviction. being banned from boots is hardly the end of the world, Superdrug can always save the day

Dear sir/Madam It's not the answer for your question,as a metter of fact,I'm asking you this question.I caught today for shoplifting, they took a picture of me,asked about my details(Name,Address, post code,,,,)I gave the right answer. It was a paper that had stated I'm banned from entering the store(It's no problem for me though)but the qustion is that whether the police will find out about this or not?will I get criminal conviction?will police have a record of this action??? Please help me and give me exact details Yours

no you do not but they might have a picture of you from a security camera and have it behind a desk. If an employee recognizes your face then you will probably be kicked out and embarrassed. or the might press charges on the past occasion if you enter again.

Hi.... thanks to all for helping my friend out here. she feels much more relaxed after that. Only one thing she is worried about. They said that they will send a copy of banning letter to her house but they still haven't and it has been more than a month so far.. is there anything serious that she needs to worry about.. because if its just the same letter from boots they should not have taken so long to send it... is that the normal procedure or not????

for Behrang, I am still in this confusion as I have not recieved a copy of banning letter from them at my home address yet which they said they will and it has been over a month since that happened.... I have asked so many people and they have said that I will not have a criminal record as no police and court was involved and i guess the same happened in your case.. well i think the best thing has happened o me coz otherwise if i would have succeeded in shoplifting that would have given me more confidence to repeat my mistake again.. this guilt now is killing me and I definitely am a changed person now... the only thing which is different in your case that they took your picture,,, i guess its just for their record that you don't enter their mall in future.. but they didn't tell me that they are taking my pic.. but yes they showed me they video when they recorded me putting the item in my bag and then seeing the security off. and putting the item back on the shelve.... did not commit the crime thats why they did not involve police or fine me... i hope that helps .. plz be careful from future..as i will be too

The police must have taken you away, and taken all your details including fingerprints before anything can take place. if they have not been taken, then the store has simply let u of easy.
