  • Whatever their answer, here is a big thank-you for your service.
  • There are a lot of really good people in our communities, our counties, our states, and in our country. There are also some very bad people mixed in who prey on the good people. Someone has to keep the good people safe from the bad guys. And, that someone might as well be me. This country has been very, very good to me, and I want to return the honor. When we raised our hands and took our oaths of office, we didn't know exactly what the job would require of us, but we learned. The job took us and made us into what we needed to be. It's our duty.
  • Shows like LAPD, COPS, give the public the idea we spend most of our shift in high speed/low speed pursuits, and jumping fences in foot chases, for the rest of the shift, which is not the case. Having had office jobs, and tiring from that, I was looking for something that would benefit the public, make me feel good while at the same was not the same thing day in and out. I knew what I was getting into before I joined, and having worked armed patrol for several years for different security agencies, it seemed the next logical step to take. I do what I do because I'm good with people, I never leave anyone feeling less of a person, and I never hide my compassion or sensitivity, though I am suppose to. Its not all tasering and giving tickets, having a crime prevention background, working as a security consultant I brought those skills with me, and am able to advise homeowners/retailers what they can do to protect themselves and their property. There's been times I've had some really sh*tty days, that have left me parked around a corner baling my eyes out, there's been days I can't even pull out of the lot to go home. Its hard to take the verbal abuse & insults day in and day out. Its not easy to take these things in stride, so the divorce rate amongst police officers is rather high. My personality changed, so after 13 years of marriage my wife left me, never to be seen again. Anyone who really knows me here knows my struggles, but at the same time my humor and compassion. I do what I do…FOR YOU. I want you all to have a sense of security, and know your children will help be protected. Yeah I like the excitement that comes with the job, but I LOVE the appreciation YOU ALL show, and that’s why I go to work everyday.
