15-16 in France, well you know in France they have one of the most comprehensive teaching regimes in Europe, I was totally astounded at the facilities and support available to their students (my cousin and her partner moved to France and her 3 children were all educated in France) if only every other country in the world invested in their childrens education like the French do!

I for one think it would be the most amazing experience for any teenager but do be aware that you will be required to have an excellent knowledge of French (perhaps I am stating the obvious sorry if this is the case)
Good luck and best wishes :-)

I studied in Venezuela for a year and it was one of the best experiences of my life. I highly recommend study abroad. It isn't for everyone, but if you have the interest it very well may be for you.

It doesn't matter what I think. If you want to go for a year, do it! Do it while you can. If you think you can be away for a year, I would say definately. I think it's a great opportunity and if you can go for a year, definately. If I had the opportunity, I might do the same myself. How do your parents feel about it? How do YOU feel about it?

If it feels right for you, go ahead. If you think it is too much, or you're unsure about, try a summer program first, see how it feels, then make you decision based on your experience.

    I don't think it's too much, I'm thinking of studying abroad myself , and I'm 14.

I think it would be great but I'm not you so I can't say if it's too long for you. Only you know how much you miss familiar surrounding and family. It's very hard for some people to be away in a strange place for that long.

Go for it, it will be an experience you'll never forget, may seem long, but after the year is over, you'll look back and realise how fast that went.

It depends. If you can have many friends, learn a lot of things, see many new things, time flies and you would say it is too fast.

If I could give you suggestion. I would say: be respectful and helpful to others. Often times that helps. Sometimes you find "ungrateful"people, no matter what you do is always wrong.
