System. 1995 and laster models use EEC-IV system.
both systems consist of a onboard computer knowns as
Powertrain Control Module PCM and information sensors send data to the PCM
PCM is located under the instrument panel, is the brain of the EEC system
You can read in page 6-2 Haynes Repair Manual .

2002 ford ranger 4x4. Driving in 2wd makes loud grinding clacking sound. \Quiet in 4wd. Worked fine. Now 4wd only reverse.
