If I have an axe or machete and I was just caught off guard, then let em take a chunk out of the weaker hand, then quickly chop off the hand so as not become zombified. If I have no quick chop weapon, then might as well just let em have the jugular and make it quick.

Combat training would tell you to offer the "off" arm, so that one may continue to do combat with the primary arm. The last sentence was total BS I made up. It would be biting the back of my heels, and that better be one quick Zombie cuz I'm running like Jesse Owens and my shadow is trying to catch up...
