Our present economic problems began in the Reagan era of deregulation, so clearly in that department, he was an idiot who did more damage than good. The obvious answer is no. I'm not big on anarchy, nor on letting huge corporations dictate my life for me. It all leads to huge violent riots and bloody strike suppression, not to mention private militias. If you want to see the wonders of free beer no cops capitalism look no farther than Mexico. Please note of course, that the country is currently wildly unstable and in danger of collapse.

I agreed he said it, I'm not too sure he believed it if you look at what happened during those eight years. Myself I do think it could be so and think both of the major parties will agree. The problem is that everybody has an exceptation to the rule - a place where more regulation, more goverment funding is needed in their minds. +5 just because.

BIG government is the problem.

It turns out that Reagan was the problem, followed by Bush 41 and Bush 43. All three were Big Spenders. Little George W. was the worst. He's the reason we now have a Democrat in the White House and a Democratic majority in both houses of Congress. We can't afford another Republican government.

Government that is large and bloated is the problem, government that works the way it is supposed to including raises is the way to go.
