  • I also invested in a few good workout dvds so I dont have to come up w/workouts on my own...I can just follow along!
  • One big thing, would be to start off with a light run, and as you get into shape, put some 5 pound handweights in your hands, and go for a jog. As you feel it get easier, add a little more weight. Same thing with the stepper, get into a routine with it, and as you feel comfortable, add some weight to it. You'll burn fat, and add muscle! Awesome question, and gumption! +3
  • Running is definitely the best for a cheap way to burn fat. But with light weights you won't gain muscle mass which inturn burns more fat. I bought a bench on Walmart.com on closeout for under $50 and 100 lbs of weight for about the same.
  • Start off with a 30 minute cardio that consists of running to one song, skipping to one song, jogging to one song...Repeat for 30 minutes. Next do toning. Stand with your feet shoulder width apart. Use 3lb weights. Lift your arms up above your head into a V. Do 40 of these working to 100. Next, lay on the floor, arms at your sides. Lift your legs up so that the bottom of your feet is facing the ceiling. Now bring your legs back down but don't let them touch the groung. Repeat...Do 40 work to 100. Stay in that same position but put your legs up in the air, keep them there. Now pull up your abdomen/chest until you feel a crunch. Go back down. Do 20 of these each time you workout. If you have a workout bike great, ride for 10 minutes. If not, just use a regular bicycle & take a 5 mile ride. Try to go swimming as much as possible also. I also do pilates & Ashtanga yoga. If you want to try them go ahead, they work wonders for your body & make you feel physically amazing. I do this workout 6x a week and it keeps me in great shape.
