not really... whats hard is being in a relationship with a cop, as they are taught to always have control of situations. This dosent translate well into a relationship spectrum

More mental, than physical. Many laws, both local, state and federal, that an officer has to know. Has to pass rigid psychological and physical exams. Have a clean criminal and traffic background. And much, much more. Some police departments require much more, than others, especially if the department is accredited.
