First, you have to find a studio or an instructor in your area that offers group classes which are best because you don't need a partner and are very cheap (anywhere between $10 to $15 for an hour lesson). With that, you should be able to pick up the basics to move on the dance floor while you meet different people & learn the ropes. Once you get comfortable, you can decide whether you want to switch instructors/studios or if you want to go to private lessons and more serious coaching
