My son liked Train and I Am a Little Dog, Where the Wild Things Go, and Goat Parade. My daughter liked Dr. Seuss, David's Father, The Paper Bag Princess.

My kids always preferred stories that I made up on the spur of the moment. They also liked "big books", and I would read them Tom Sawyer or Alice in Wonderland or something similar over a period of many nights.

When my kids were younger, they loved a book called 'Cabbage Moon' and one called 'Miss Suzy' Miss Suzy is a really old one but is an enchanting little story about a squirrel. When my daughter was a little older, she loved me to read all of the American Girl books and I remember that her favorite was the Samantha series.

Anything Disney it seems, mainly Winnie The Pooh books.

My granddaughter likes to hear stories which are basically a dramatization of her own life. "Tell me the one about the little girl who went to the Bakery with her nanny".... or "Tell me about the little girl who rode her pony to the park". I can add bits in to the story, but I get a sharp rebuke if I leave anything out! Then she tells me a story - I always ask for something silly, like "The one with the elephant up the tree with a blue hat on", and she tells me I heard that one last week! Her favorite story at the moment is how she came to the airport to meet me when she was 2 weeks old (I was in England when she was born). And to answer the original question - she doesn't have a favorite book, although she does like the old Readers Digest Condensed Books - she calls them her 'Diamond Books' - and 'reads' from them!

Wanda Linda and the Terrible Underpants - Kaz Cook and The little Mole who knew it was none of his business - its about a mole who's head gets crapped on, he then spend the whole book trying to determine who the culprit is.
