Question

Help answer this question below.

He filed the divorce and it's been final for a month. We have no children. He sees me several times a week.There is no sex, my choice. He never stopped seeing me. He says he hasn't given up on us. I'm confused. If he hadn't given up, why file? any advice?

I think he's trying to take back power and that felt like an empowering, take-charge thing to do. It sounds like you two need to fully separate and then reassess in a few months. I suggest separate counseling for both of you to find out what the underlying personal issues are. Good luck!

- Good advice, but been there,done that. He filed for divorce from his 1st wife because she had moved in with another man. He said he went through with that one out of pride, even though he still loved her & he didn't want to. I didn't cheat. He emotionally cheated on me with a female co-worker. We tried counseling, he didn't stick with it and I did. It helped me alot,but I'm not ready to let go.
