Why the hell is there the KFC guy in some dude's field in Rachel, Nevada on Google Earth!?

I saw that in Iraq in Google Earth.

NEW INFO! In 2006 KFC created a giant company logo on the ground at the north edge of Rachel and claimed it to be the first logo visible from space. It marked the official debut of a massive global re-image campaign that will contemporize 14,000-plus KFC restaurants in over 80 countries over the next few years. Constructed in early November, it took six days on site to assemble its 65,000 colored tiles on 87,500 square feet (8,130 m2) of flat desert terrain. The logo also had a hidden message on the tie area of the logo that featured an impostor colonel holding a sign over his head, reading "Finger Lickin Good." The logo was removed in mid-2007

Well I don't know about the KFC guy, but I do know that Rachel is the alien hunters capitol of the US, due to its proximity to the infamous "Area 51" and its location along the tourist-trap named "Extraterrestrial Highway"

However, Area 51 is unfortunately not the home of aliens or their remains, only a test site for Cold War era military tech, although some aircraft testing still goes on today. (That's what leads to all the 'UFO sightings')

You really want to find the aliens, look for Papoose Mountain military complex in Colorado. heheh

KFC did it as an advertisement. See...it worked! It got you talking about KFC. Joking aside, KFC really did put the image there on purpose so it would show up on google maps and gain some internet attention.
