Hahaha this is going to be interesting. My parents have been seperated for 14 years. They hate each other with a burning passion but they can't stay away from each other. When they are getting along, I watch them and I can see that they really were made for each other and they love each other so much that it is incredible to watch. But all it takes is too much booze and one snide comment (both are frequent) and all of a sudden it's like they will use anyone or anyhting to hurt each other (physically or emotionally). It is the most twisted relationship I have ever known. Best friends forever but mortal enemies.

They loved each other.

It was like the Bridges of Madison county. Love was strong but one belonged to another.

Ahh yes. One wrong word can send everything straight to hell again haha. I liked that last line especially. Thanks for your answer :)

Quiet. They've been divorced 25 years, and they only spoke when they had to when I was a kid. Now I'm all grown up (or at least older), they have no reason to speak. Particularly because I dont speak to my father

It was the most loving I'd ever seen until he passed away 40 years after they were married.

They've been married over 50 years and still have passion going for them.

Let me put it this way...Mom and Dad were married for over 58 years. Mom liked to party 'til the day she died. Pop was never quite up to her speed...'n always trying to cramp her style. [Good luck on that one!] Mom died first...and Pop kept saying "I wanna be with Momma...I wanna be with Momma". My Sister and I received a rather terse message from Mom: "Having a great time up here. You just keep that pain-in-the-ass down there awhile! See y'all later. Love, Mom." Sis and I did the best we could...but Mom and Dad are back together now...Sis is up there, too. They were really good folks...the best...and I had one hellova great Sister. Won't be long 'til we're a family of four, again. :-)
