This is not the first time this has been done. This dates well back into the Renaissance time period. It was called tying the knot (truly). The Hymen is often torn well before a child reached adult hood yet there are still dim bulbs out there that think that if the woman does not bleed enough on the marriage bed she is not a virgin. Girls tear it all the time on their own through normal activities such as riding a bike and falling down. If some girl wants to repair it before marriage it’s her choice. Was she raped? Did she make a mistake? Was it an accident? Does her future husband know but they want a new beginning? Women have their own reasons. If there is some slim chance that she is trying to deceive her future mate the truth will eventually come out. If she is doing this for legitimate reasons I see no reason why this needs to be big news. Let the poor girls be.

old news, for older minded people. girls usually seem to do this for reasons that are personal and it dose well to protect them from embaressment. in fact even without any local trama or hymen damage there is no gaurentee of bleeding the first time. a hymen is usually torn the first time but it is flexable and somtimes is simply "pused out of the way" or only partially damage leading to little or no blood.

Evil. If it was a "natural thing" for you atheists or if God/Allah/Budda/Vishnu etc. intended it then it would just happen, you wouldn't need an arrogant doctor who thinks he is perhaps one of those forementioned deities to do it for you. Anyway, what would be the point? So your parents will believe you? Well if that's what they are checking for then I don't want to know. Of all the things doctors could give you, this is the most insanely pointless I could ever have imagined.

It's like plastic surgery. It's fake. It does not do away with your sexual history, I don't think that women realize that guys don't care in the least about the physical traits of virginity, it's the fact that a woman is willing to GIVE her ONE AND ONLY virginity to a guy out of personal reasons (love, hopefully), it has nothing to do with the hymen or it not being in tact. But I think it should be perfectly ok not only in Berlin, but around the world. It's your body, do whatever you want with it lol

It seems a bit pointless, after all undergoing a surgical proceedure doesn't mean you're an actual virgin again. & even if it did, whats the point????
