ROTFL, sorry...my understanding is that Vista is very difficult to uninstall...suggest you contact the computer repair places in your area and talk to them, they will want lots of bucks for this one but should be able to take care of this for you. Would suggest you talk to several, not just settle for the first one you go to. If any of your friends/coworkers are computer-savvy, ask for advice on whom to contact for help. Good luck, if you are successful please post a comment to me here--I am looking into buying a new 'puter myself and am very wary of Vista as well.

I think you need to remove Vista and then reintroduce XP. There is a way that you ca have both on your machine but I think it would be better to remove Vista.I am having trouble with mine too and keep gong back to my older Comp with XP. Jerv may be able to tell you he knows about computers.

Join the I hate Vista club. I read that even Microsoft hates it and that a new version of XP or a completely new MS program is coming soon. Don't hold your breath. The beta version is out already.

Format the hard drive and then install Windows XP. I read in some of previous answers that Vista is hard to uninstall. So if that is the case, Take the drive out and format it on another computer using that drive as a second. That way you will be able to erase everything.

Well, here is what I am going to do. Since Vista is incompatible with just about ALL .ISO burning software, I am going to run DBAN (Darik's Boot and Nuke) and compltely wipe the hard drive using the a Flash drive. Ok nvm, that didn't work. I'm going to try to use this CD again. This question was mainly for anyone who hs had success in the past and had an easier way. For some reason UBCD (Ultimate Boot CD) won't install properly on my system. Ugh...Vista just makes me angrier by the minute.
