No, because i believe that Jesus is the son of god. i believe this because that is what the bible says.
-
Jesus is God. John 1:3 He proved this through his miraculous healings, testimonies, and salvations. Mark 4:35 I personally believe that he is God not only because of Biblical evidence, but logical deduction. If the power to breath life into the world only comes through God, how can a "man" heal the dead and make the blind to see? Jesus is God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
-
Yes and no. I perceive them as separate, and pray to them as so, but they bible states them as the same.
-
I believe Jesus was merely an important prophet, not the son of God. God is corporeal, he has no wish or reason to take human form. I follow the teachings of the Muslims and the Baha'i in this regard. .... EDIT: Oh fine, rate me down then. Idol worshippers...
-
No I don't believe Jesus is God. Using the Hebrew Bible please highlight where it says the Messiah will actually be God? Will you then explain where it says that the Messiah must come twice? How about explaining, using only the Hebrew Bible, how the Messiah does not actually have to be a biological decendant of King David? For starters... :) ----- If you are wondering why I am being so blunt, it is because the person asking this question rated down Sakhalinskii for a valid answer: http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/127643/329013 Aka. "Do you believe that Jesus is God? If Yes or No, Tell me Why!!!" ... This is a REALLY GOOD question! ... WHY? Because one ought to defend his/her positions with a demonstration of the evidence(s) ... ... YES! I believe that Jesus is God. WHY?! Because there are COUNTLESS scriptures that teach and support it. Could I just believe Jesus is Jesus and really great as that?
-
Jesus is god and the son of god. God is the father of jesus. I know its confusing, but what the bible says is my word.
-
Yes, I do. I believe in what the King James Bibles teaches me.. in that He gives His glory to no other and that the Word was made flesh.
-
Im an atheist - so no I dont believe he is God. Nor do I beleive he is the son of God... I do believe he existed and I do believe that he was a good man but as I find it hard ot believe in any religion especially ones based on the Bible. I cant believe In Jesus being God. Main objections - The Jewish and Christian religions both believed the Earth was the centre of the Universe. Copernicus and Galileo were very badly treated by the Church. If the Pope talks directly to God, he should have known that the Earth went around the sun. He should also have known the world is not 4000 years old but over a million times older!. However relgion gives comfort to a lot of people - so I have no problem with you having your faith. May your God be with you.
-
i always though jesus and god where two different people. i havnt got a clue if anyone reads this and knows the answer can you leave it in the comments please.
-
Yes, I believe that Jesus is God. Also that God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are the same God. The Trinity, three Gods in one. I believe this because I always have. I was raised in the Lutheran church and no matter what other religions I've checked out I've always come back to Christianity. Someday I might change but for now this is what I follow.
-
Jeus is not God! John 3:16 says: God loved the people of this world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who has faith in him will have eternal life and never die. Note that this scripture says "He gave his only son". The bible also mentions that Jesus is seated at the right hand of the father in Heaven. Another fact to contribute to my belief is that, when Jesus died who did he have to ressurect him? You can't ressurect yourself! it's like if the T.V is turned off who is there to turn it back on? So no, Jesus is not God and God is not Jesus.
-
Yes Jesus and God are one. They are a part of the Holy Trinity along with the Holy Spirit. I believe this because Jesus is my Savior, I love him above all, and because the bible says so.
-
yes i believe that jesus is god because jesus died for our sins and hey came back alive 3 days later.
-
Jesus is not God...Jesus is the only man like us..he also born, eat, have emotion and many more..how can a God may have attribute like us (his creation)?we can think about that rite? The only God that we worship is the only one that we can't see but we can feel.like u slap ur cheek, u cant see the pain but u may feel it.Jesus is messenger of God..God give him a message to persuade and convey people to believe God.
-
YES I BELEIVE THAT JESUS IS GOD ...becasue the bible say God made us out of an imaged of him self and god came to earth in fleshly form to give us a second chance
-
By definition of the words, he can't be both no matter what the bible says.
-
No. Because there is no evidence for it that I regard as compelling.
-
I thought Jesus was Gods emissary on earth, sent as His son, and one of a line of prophets sent thus
-
I believe Jesus was a saint and an holy man.I don't believe is a god,nor do I believe he ever said he was a god. It is likely that the translation is misinterpreted.
-
Yes, He is God. John 1:1 clearly say, "In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word is God. The word is Jesus. God sent His son into the world to spread the good message abroad, that the world might be saved through Him. He is the light of the world. No man cometh unto the Father but by Him. Also in John 1 it says, "The word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and Truth.

No, even when I was a Christian I had a very hard time beliving that Jesus was God. Or came from a virgin birth. Or in the miricals he preformed. Or that he rose from the grave. And it got even harder to belive when I started to study other religions and found almost the exact same stories told about other people. It started to really slip when I read about the coucil that was held in 560 A.D. to finally decide if he was even really devine or not and what they did to the true history of Christ. And here we are 2000 years later stilll debating this one question. My belief was finally killed when I discovered that the Bible is in fact highly edited by men who lived hundreds of years after his death to suit their needs. King James was the worst for this. Plus the bloody history that comes with Christianity and the denial of science and I just couldn't follow it any more. Funny, my quest for the Holy Grail killed my faith in Christ. That said I do belive that Jesus Christ (make sure to put both names because Jesus was actually a very popular name at the time) was a good man with some very good ideas. Not original ideas, just good ideas. And just like John the Baptist, who Jesus belived was the true profit of God, he was very chrasmatic and eloquent in his speach to the point he was able to gain the following he did. As well as the attion of the Roman authorities who at the time where trying to make an example out of every Jewish trouble maker. Which is what he was considered not only by them, but by the heads of the Jewish community who were trying to stop another genocide from happening. And that's why he was crucified. Not to bring heaven to Earth, but to save his very people from being cut to shreds by the Roman War Machine. It's kind of ironic to me that the same people who killed him later used him to spread their empire and control the populace.

No, because I'm a dirty, dirty Jew.

No. Mithraism One of the most popular religions of the Roman Empire, especially among Roman soldiers, was Mithraism. Its origins are Persian, and involves their ancient hierarchy of gods, as restructured by Zarathustra (c. 628-c. 551 bc) in the holy books called the Avestas. The universe was seen as involved in an eternal fight between light and darkness, personified by Ahura-Mazda (good) vs. Ahriman (evil). This idea probably influenced Jews while they were in Babylon, which is when they adopted HaShatan -- Satan -- as the evil one! Within the Persian pantheon, Mithra was “the judger of souls” and “the protector,” and was considered the representative of Ahura-Mazda on earth. Mithra, legend says, was incarnated into human form (as prophesized by Zarathustra) in 272 bc. He was born of a virgin, who was called the Mother of God. Mithra's birthday was celebrated December 25 and he was called “the light of the world.” After teaching for 36 years, he ascended into heaven in 208 bc. There were many similarities with Christianity: Mithraists believed in heaven and hell, judgement and resurrection. They had baptism and communion of bread and wine. They believed in service to God and others. In the Roman Empire, Mithra became associated with the sun, and was referred to as the Sol Invictus, or unconquerable sun. The first day of the week -- Sunday -- was devoted to prayer to him. Mithraism became the official religion of Rome for some 300 years. The early Christian church later adopted Sunday as their holy day, and December 25 as the birthday of Jesus. Mithra became the patron of soldiers. Soldiers in the Roman legions believed they should fight for the good, the light. They believed in self-discipline and chastity and brotherhood. Note that the custom of shaking hands comes from the Mithraic greeting of Roman soldiers. It was operated like a secret society, with rites of passage in the form of physical challenges. Like in the gnostic sects (described below), there were seven grades, each protected by a planet. Since Mithraism was restricted to men, the wives of the soldiers often belonged to clubs of Great Mother (Cybele) worshippers. One of the women’s rituals involved baptism in blood by having an animal- preferably a bull - slaughtered over the initiate in a pit below. This combined with the myth of Mithra killing the first living creature, a bull, and forming the world from the bull's body, and was adopted by the Mithraists as well. When Constantine converted to Christianity, he outlawed Mithraism. But a few Zoroastrians still exist today in India, and the Mithraic holidays were celebrated in Iran until the Ayatollah came into power. And, of course, Mithraism survives more subtly in various European -- even Christian -- traditions. http://webspace.ship.edu/cgboer/romanempire.html

I believe that Jesus Christ is and was God. (John Ch.1, Hebrews Ch.1, 1 John 5:7 and other portions of Scriptures support Christ's Deity.) I believe that He was the Son of God, as well as God at the same time. I do believe in the Trinity: (I usually prefer to use the Biblical term "Godhead" though.) that God is One Supreme Being, yet He manifests Himself in three distinct, yet not seperate, Persons. I also believe, however, that they could be considered One Person at the same time because Christ is called the everlasting Father. Thank you and God bless you!

Yes, Jesus is God incarnate as man. The Bible says Jesus is God (John 1:1-14, Romans 9:5, 2 Peter 1:1, Titus 2:13, Isaiah 9:6) and Jesus claims to be God as well (read John 10:22-39, John 5:16:23) Please note that the term "Son of God" does not mean that God literally had a son by means of intercourse like how you or i are our mother and father's literal son/daugghter. It means that Jesus is the Son of God, as in, the exact nature of God (the son of a human is human, the Son of God therefore is God) The Jews in the Bible knew the term Son of God meant that Jesus was God because they charged Jesus with "blasphemy" for claiming to be God by calling Himself the Son of God (see John 10:33) I discuss the Deity of Jesus Christ more in detail in a video series i am making on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/user/AgApE010 and you can also send me a message on there if you have anymore questions. I hope that helps answer your question :) Jesus is indeed God incarnate as a man; and He became man to die on the cross for all the sins of mankind so that by repentance and faith in Him alone, we can be saved and go to Heaven. Praise the Lord. God bless you! †

um, YES! as for PROOF, look no further than the Bible, my friend! - Donnie "GodROCKS" Glax

Nope. Don't believe in god at all and have doubts as to whether there was even a historical figure of Jesus. So all in all, not terribly convincing from my perspective.
-
hi jesus is the father the son the Holy Spirit.jesus is all in all.manifasted in flesh (John 1:1) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:2) The same was in the beginning with God. (John 1:3) All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. (John 1:14) And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. (John 8:58) Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

no i dont. ask anyone with half a brain...jesus was a PROPHET. dipshits.

Yes, this is basic Christianity. We have been saying that Jesus is God since the Apostle Thomas said, "My Lord and my God!" (John 20:28) And John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." and John 1:14 "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth." The Nicene Creed (from the year 325) talks about the nature of Jesus Christ: We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, one in being with the Father. Through Him all things were made. For us and our salvation He came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit, He was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate; He suffered, died, and was buried. On the third day He rose again in fulfillment of the scriptures: He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. The Catechism of the Catholic Church explains what we believe in depth: http://www.nccbuscc.org/catechism/text/pt1sect2chpt2.shtml For many Scriptures that refer to Jesus as God and the Trinity, see: http://www.cwo.com/~pentrack/catholic/Trinity.txt With love in Christ.

No. I do not believe that there is a god as described in the mythology contained in the Bible.
-
He is one of the prophets!

Good question. Let's see what the Scriptures say: John 1:1 In the beginning was he Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God John 20:28 And Thomas answered and said to Him, "My Lord and my God!" Acts 20:28 Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood. Romans 9:5 ...of whom are the fathers and from whom, according to the flesh, Christ came, who is over all, the eternally blessed God. Amen. Philippians 2:5-6 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God Colossians 1:16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. Titus 2:13 ...looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ Hebrews 1:8,10 But to the Son He says: "YOUR THRONE, O GOD, IS FOREVER AND EVER; A SCEPTER OF RIGHTEOUSNESS IS THE SCEPTER OF YOUR KINGDOM... ..And: "YOU, LORD, IN THE BEGINNING LAID THE FOUNDATION OF THE EARTH, AND THE HEAVENS ARE THE WORK OF YOUR HANDS. Revelation 17:14 ...King of Kings and Lord of lords... Revelation 22:13 "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last." -Jesus Christ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1hZP9FDnbUM&feature=channel

Yes. Jesus said so Himself. In fact, that was the excuse the Pharisees used to execute Him.
-
No, I do not believe Jesus is god. I don't believe there is a god. There may have been a man named Jesus, but he was not a god.
