I would not write a cancellation letter, unless you have no way to make a phone call to them. Making a factual and inquiring phone call to the company shows your urgency and willingness to work with them, and you are considerate of their processes (what they need to go thru to cancel an order). If you cannot call, then your email should be factual and apologetic, and ask for a confirmation email from them that the cancellation has been taken care of. Better get it done quickly!!!
