Are people being EXTRA trolly today?, I've been rated down a lot, and noticed a lot of perfectly good answers getting negative points.

It must be due to mathematical variance. But then again, I haven't seen any trolls today, and I've even poked my head under a bridge or two.

I think so. I've been rated down a few times, and I've noticed others being rated down a lot. I think it may be due to the amount of new users coming in. They don't yet know the "rules."
