  • i think women who watch too much TV and movies are more needy and less connected to reality and common sense about their choices.
  • Women these days do have self-esteem issues but in my experience young men these days are just as needy!! I have had nothing but trouble with guys I have dated. They all need you to be there constantly and take care of them, and if you want to go out and be yourself, they throw a hissy fit. My life has been the exact opposite of TV couples. I am always the one wanting to go out drinking etc., and he is always the one bitching about stupid crap!
  • Gender roles have changed, and with them went the easy format of male-female relationships. Maybe they learned from there parents who have got a divorice. Maybe it seems they don't respect relationships because they have been taught that relationships develop from flirtation, to subservience, through a long and tiring mid-life balancing children and a career, then, ultimately, to divorce. Just think about what young both boys and girls are subjected to today.....they don't see the same morals in everyday live that was practice in the past.
  • It certainly appears that today's young people in general are clueless about many things of the real world that generations before them had to learn to sink or swim.
  • I think people are all needy, it is just more allowable for a woman to show her needs than in the past.
  • Young women need only one thing! That's men, to make them complete! If you think otherwise, then you are a woman that likes women!
  • Far too many of today's young women were raised without benefit of a dad. When this happens, young girls often look for substitutes. This is sometimes called "needy."
  • I don't think they're "needy"...they just expect a lot more things. Just take a look at the kids, with all this technology that makes their life much easier...we didn't have that before...so the expectations are definitely higher - and their image goes along with all those things, we value things more than personalities or small gestures...sad, but true.
