  • yes, to my cat. if he wants to go in the backyard, i open the gate for him, as if he couldn't jump the fence. if he wants to drink out of the swimming pool, i get down on my hands and knees and scoop water out for him. if he's on the front porch and wants to be carried to the garage, he scratches on the door until i let him in. he lets me know what he wants with a very demanding meow too. i also used to do all this for my dog before he died. i even brought him breakfast in bed when he got old and spent most of his time in bed.
