Personally I think NO. Better for repairing cosmetic cracks. One option is to check and see if there is a Habitat for Humanity STORE near you. People donate all sorts of things there. Tubs, sinks, cabinets, stoves, tile, carpet. I replaced a cast iron tub with one from them in San Diego...the store was located in Lemon Grove not far away. A right bear of a job getting the old one out and the new one in...but with a couple of friends...it got done! They also have fiberglass tubs as well....you just have to go and see. They're a fraction of the cost, and your money goes to help a great cause. Try running a Google on them...might need to type in "store" or "hardware" and then YOUR area. With the prices and the "never know what useful thing you'll find"...it was a great place to shop!
