You can use the term God as an expression even if you don't believe in deity. But the answer you are probably looking for is: Oh YES! Oh YES! [Censored!]

Whatever they want. lol. Its fine to say oh god if you're having sex. Its not like it ruins the experience. Plenty of people say oh god even over the most minor annoyances like if you're cut off by someone at the grocery store.

I, and most other atheists I've seen, consider the use of statements like: "Oh God", "Oh my God" and etc. to be nothing more than figures of speach. Every once in a while I get religious people commenting on how I keep calling on God when I use the "G-word" (their word, not mine). Some of them imply that I'm secretly worshiping God. Some of them say that I'm insulting THEIR God. But for all they know, I could be talking about Odin, Thor, Loki, Zeus, etc. Why does it have to be any specific God? I find it odd... The Bible says that you're not supposed to take the lords name in vain... and when an Atheist does just that, people claim an Atheist is publicly showing worship. What sense does that make?

So? I still can say Praise Jesus. I don't actually mean it.

In my experience: Me: "Oh Katie!" Her: "Oh God!" Me: "You can just call me Jamison."
