  • What fuse? The house fuse or a breaker on the microwave. Mr Bill
  • Are you sure you have a microwave plate, and then another plate over that with what you're heating over it inside it? Most of the time if you don't have those two things, a microwave can blow up doing that. (Trust me.)
  • You need to find out what is wrong. That fuse is blowing because of a problem. It may not be safe to use that microwave.
  • Is it the house fuse? If it is, then is this a new microwave or do you have it plugged into a different plug or with another appliance at the same time? You could just be blowing your fuse because your breaker isn't large enough to carry that much amperage. If it's the microwave fuse, then stop using it and get it looked at as something is wrong.
  • If it's that expensive, just go out and buy a new microwave. You can search for some at goodwill, or buy one at Target Walmart, (some other store) for like 30$.
  • You microwave is trying to tell you something. Houston, we have a problem. That line is drawing too much "juice". Do NOT put a larger fuse without the approval of an electrician. First, find out exactly what is on that line. It is has a TV, an aircondition, heater, along with the microwave, run a seperate line. In there are no major appliances other than the microwave on that circuit, call an electricia. I would strongly urge you not to burn your house down, especially at night when you are asleep. I would urge you to find the problem before continuing usage. It may be that the fuse has been replaced before with one too small, and until there was a major draw, like from the microwave, it never surfaced. It could indicated that there is some wiring damage and could really pose a danger to you.
  • I hope you are not using NON Microwaveable items in the microwave like styrofoam items or metal .... IF not; then , it sounds like maybe you are overloading the circuit . Is there anything else plugged into that outlet ... ? If the microwave is in its own outlet , and NOT sharing and outlet with an extension cord etc ... then it sounds like you have a BAD Microwave and need to get it replaced ASAP before it starts a FIRE .... and burns down your home .
  • If you're blowing a house fuse, you have too many appliances on one circuit breaker/fuse. Basically there's too many amps being drawn and the fuse is doing exactly what it was meant to do, keep the house from burning down. Try using a different plug or if that's not an option, unplug unnecessary items in the event they're accidentally tripping the fuse. Do you have the right amperage fuze in the slot? If the microwave is in the kitchen, the fuse is probably a 15-20amp fuse. Im also guessing your house is older if it has a fuse box. If you can't put a larger fuse in that spot and you can't remove other items from that same fuse, you might have to get a microwave with a smaller power requirement that won't trip the circuit breaker/fuse box.

  • Microwaves are now so cheap that it is easier, safer, and generally cheaper to just replace them. This one obviously has a problem and it is just safer to get rid of it. The labor to fix it would likely be more than a new one. Besides, the newer models use a lot less electricity.
  • I can add an answer to my own question? weird...
  • what are you cooking, make sure everythings microwave safe, and wach out for metal.
  • the magnatron in the microwave is bad.time for new oven.
  • First. Is it the house fuse or a fuse on the microwave itself? You may be overloading your kitchen circuit.Don't just put in a bigger fuse unless you want to burn your house down.Run another circuit to your kitchen. Second. If the internal fuse in the microwave keeps blowing, that's a sign that something is wrong with the appliance. Take it to someone with the proper test equipment. The circuits must be traced out, the problem found and corrected. +4
  • Buy a new one its cheaper. +5
