Should sex education be taught in middle school? It seems that teens are having sex younger and younger and getting pregnant. Parent's aren't going to teach it so should the schools?

Sex education IS taught in middle school, at least where I live. Teaching Sex Ed does NOT stop people from having sex. In fact, sometimes, it makes people even more curious to try it out! Should it be taught in school? I'm undecided about that. It should be taught by people who are not embarrassed to teach it, along with not being embarrassed to answer questions about it. There is no point in teaching it if the teachers are too embarrassed to teach it, which there are those who are.

Personally I feel they should take a field trip to the Labor and Delivery room at the hospital. And visit a STD clinic.
They should already know the facts of life by middle school, so now a little shock therapy is in order. ; )

I don't know what middle school is as I never went to school, but I would think that by age 11-12 children should be taught about sex in a meaningful fashion, since they are enter that stage of puberty and are more likely to start becoming interested in that aspect of their lives, and start experimenting with regards to sexual activity.
