WHen you are depressed or sick, do you often take things the wrong way--someone says something and you think "they hate me". Do you find yourself often doing/saying things you later regret?

Has that been happening to you? I haven't been depressed in about 15 years but I have taken some things that my wife has said the wrong way when I wasn't depressed. I've never felt that she disliked me, though. I've answered some AB questions irreverently and I'm sure that some people disliked those answers but AFAIK they're strangers. I was never trolled by them so I don't think that they hate me. I did arouse the ire of a troll last week. For all I know it might hate me but I don't really care whether it does. I said some things I regretted a few years ago at another board but I've learned a few things since then.
