You have to beat monstro to unlock the Hercules cup tornoment.To beat traverse town you have got to beat the huge armour after finding the keyhole in the deep jungle world.

To get the Hercules cup itself, you have to win the tournament ;) But to open the tournament you have to beat Monstro. After he spits you out, Chip'n'Dale will tell you there is a new tournament open. Cloud is easy enough if you dodge roll and jump a lot to avoid his strike attacks. With Hercules, if he is glowing you need to pick up a barrel and throw it at him, preferably when he's showing off his muscle. That will take down his glowing barrier and give you time to attack him. Listen to him because he says when he's going to put it back up again and causes a ground pulse, jump (and if you can, glide) away from him so it doesn't hit you. After he's put up his muscles he'll generally do a lunge punch in your direction so just move out of the way. When he is low on hp he'll start spinning, cast aero and dodge roll away from him. The trick really is to make sure you hit him with the barrel and it doesn't fly past him, because new barrels won't appear until all the barrels in the arena are gone. In Traverse Town, cast lightning on the open cables in District 3 then go to the Gizmo shop. The platforms will now be raised so use them to climb onto the top of the walls and stand on the three buttons. Examine the clock and I think you either hit it(?) or cast some sort of magic at it maybe. The boxes will only move away from the bell once you've locked Deep Jungle and done this stuff. Go up to the bell (on the roof of the gizmo shop, there is a ladder out the back door), do the trinity, and ring the bell three times. The keyhole will appear in the fountain. Kill Inverse Armour and you'll be able to lock the keyhole.
