I am amused that you claim to speak properly, but the wording of your question indicates otherwise. At any rate, if your speech sets you apart, people will notice. Kids tend to be insecure, and therefore make fun of anything that is different about someone else. Hence, if you speak more properly than most others, they have something different about which to attack you. Don't let it get to you; speaking properly is a good thing. Maintaining good speech patterns makes it much easier to write properly, which is essential throughout life.

I get teased all the time cuz I pronounce my "T"s. Like I say butt on instead of buddin. Also cuz I say stupit instead of stupid. Whatever. Just ignore them .

Because most kids try to talk slangy (if that's a word) so they can be cool! I talked very properly too because my parents made sure I spoke perfect English. I got teased sometimes but I didn't care. My grandparents were immigrants who spoke English well enough to understand everything they said when they arrived in the US, but they had an accent and he wanted to make sure we were clearly American; and to him that meant speaking clear, proper English. You'll be glad you speak properly when you're older; especially if you are going to be some type of business person rather than, say, a rapper.
