  • That happened to my boyfriend! He was so glad to have his truck gone and that he didn't have to make payments any more. Oh well, easy come, easy go. Hope your finances improve. :)
  • I dunno, I got pretty excited about my divorce.
  • I had mine reposessd a month ago. I was quite excited too. I have not worked for several months now because my Dad had a stroke. I am taking care of him. I was so stressed out trying to keep up w/payments w/no income. Their constant calls. I mean they called 10x a day. It was insane. Then I had to cancel insurance. Park the car, not driving it. It's sitting there useless for 3 months. Still stressing out on payments. I kept telling them just take it. PLEASE! After 3 more months of begging them to just take it they finally did. A weight off my mind. But they will now hit me w/the balance of what they couldn't get at auction. By now I just say whatever, credit is ruined anyway. I am not going to pay them until I feel like it.
  • I can understand why you can be excited but be careful. If the bank/loan company can't get the money they are owed they can send you a bill for the balance. Example you owe 5 grand they repo and sell it or auction it for 3 grand you still owe 2 grand and they can sue you for it. Not to mention the bad credit score which you already know about.
  • I was very excited when I could get rid of a luxuary car that I had bought very much unnecessarily way back in the 1980s. Maintenance of the car was proving quite costly and was starting to put a prussure on my finances. Besides I had a small car a motorcycle at that time. There was no Bank finance involved as I had bought the car paying from my savings. It was sheer luck that I could find a buyer and sell the car with just a loss of some 20%. I have stuck to a small car and a Jeep ever since then. My case may not be exactly similar to yours, but the excitement and relief in getting rid of a luxury item will match, I suppose.
  • I remember when I was like 14, I once climbed a tree. When i was on it, the branch started to break and for some reason I got REALLY excited like "oh my good, how sweet, this is gonna be the first time I fall off a tree and it'll be just like on TV"... right? No, not really LOL I had a pretty bad cut in my head and my spine hurt for about 2 months.
  • Ya, sometimes when things take a bad turn, it gives you the excuse to scrap it (give up on it). Which is sometimes what you really wanted to do all along.
