For my money, no one can beat Shirley Temple, even though I hate her movies. Her level of dedication - though achieved through horrible means - is amazing. I like Mickey Rooney for the best male child actor. I still like him today!

NOT Macaulay Culkin and NOT Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. Any other child actor/actress is the best ever compared to those.

Personally I'd have to go with Ron Howard and Bill Mumy. It's a tie for actor .. As far as actresses go.. Jodie Foster and Shirley Temple come ro mind.
