I love to cook and when I do I make everything from scratch.
-
Yes. Yesterday I cooked perogies, beef stew, and apple fritters from scratch. 8 days ago I cooked samosas, chicken satay, vegetable soup, and nan from scratch. When I do cook, I cook from scratch. I am only 17 and thus not responsible for cooking for my family. I cook every Friday with two of my friends. (By the way, no offense intended, but "alot" is actually two words: "a lot". This is a common mistake that drives me crazy.)

I used to do a LOT of homecooking. Stuff that had to be simmered all day and such, but since all but one of my "chicks" have left the nest, we actually eat out a lot and I cook on the weekends.

I do homecooking Southern Style
-
Well I'm single so it's...Good - ol' southern boxed, frozed, canned or fast food.
-
Not as much on work nights but on weekends I cook huge amounts to live off of during the week. My daughter loves to help.
-
I do alot of homecooking. I make some awesome tortellini carbonara, lasagna and last night I made ravioli (I do use frozen or fresh pasta however), I can also make a pretty yummy roast. Homemade chocolate chips cookies with walnuts at my house... come on over!
-
Home cook -everything- from scratch, although I'm vegan so I kind of have to. Plus it's very cheap. I haven't eaten at a restaurant on my own dime in years.
-
Homecooking. Canned food makes me nauseous.

I'm single as well, but I still homecook. It's always nice to know excactly what's in your food, and that you have saved money by making it yourself. And cooking can be recreational, if it wasn't for the 382984 other things I have to do! It is nice (and romantic, even) to share a home cooked meal with family, or seeing someone enjoy something you've made.
-
I am the hamburger queen my family hates it but I don't have time to cook.
-
I cook from scratch when there is enough time and if my mrs is there, she loves to cook too. But if I don't have enough time to prepare a meal from scratch I will serve boxed, frozen, canned or takeaway/fast foods.
-
I'm a vegetarian who loves to cook. I can cook anything and when I do, I make everything from scratch. I even cook meat and seafood for others. Honestly I've never tasted boxed or frozen foods.
-
I prepare a lot of boxed, frozen, and canned food because I live in a dorm room and do not have a kitchen. When I am at home and have a kitchen I love to cook.
-
I prepare 95% of my meals using fresh ingredients. I like to know what I am putting into the pot to be honest. The only canned foods I use are chopped tomatoes, chick peas and sweetcorn, on occasions.
-
95% home cooked. We also grow most of our own vegetables and fruit, have chickens (for eggs only) and go directly to the boats for our fresh fish.

Since both my husband and I love to cook, just about everything we have is from scratch, and not a box. That would take some of the joy away. Plus we have more control over the flavor if we do it ourselves and it's usually cheaper. Plus we like to make things that don't come from your regular store. We do a lot of our shopping at Asian and Indian markets. I get Mexican ingredients by mail since New York doesn't seem to know what real Mexican food is.

I used to subsist entirely on microwaveable foods and only cooked when the mood struck me. I have since had to change my diet entirely because of a medical condition. I have yet to find a prepared boxed, frozen, or canned food that I can eat so it's all homecooking for me. I'm just lucky I can cook! I would have been in big trouble otherwise. Some of my favorites are mozzarella and basil stuffed eggplant rolls, five cheese casserole, skillet meatloaf, turnip fries, and my key lime pie. Mmm. Dangit! I went and made myself hungry!

I cook up a lot of stir fry, grilled fish and rice. That's all i know how to make
