It should not mean backstabbing your friend to hang out with someone else and if it does that is one hung up person. Friend monopolies are too weird.

I would NEVER betray a friend. Friendship is a trust between two people. I value that trust more than the fun we have together, although I suspect there is a positive correlation between the two.
