There used to be an AB chat, ages ago. I'm not sure what happened to it. I usually just chat with my AB friends through email chats.

We can always chat with our AB friends on chat rooms provided by other websites. AB chat is the least of my concerns on AB. I would like the staff to focus more on fixing the glitches here (and there are lots of them!).

I think most of the chat sites are pretty much slowing up due to IM's yahoo or MSN ICQ are all downloadable and free naybe thats why they got rid of the AB chat ?

It's an interesting idea. Perhaps you could just have an optional icon that someone could click on to "ring up" whatever IM you use. Even better if they had some way to anonymize it so that the person didn't learn your real IM handle, but I don't know if that's possible.

Yeah, more convenient that opening a different website for the chatrooms. Facebook and Myspace have IMing capability in the actual website. It would be nice if AB had this option as well.
