  • Probably. It depends in part how much you earned, how much was withheld and whether you expect a refund. (If you have money coming from both states, you don't 'need to' file, but you will lose the refund(s). Now, the best answer is, ask a tax person in your state. Your tax department can give you some decent free advice. Don't depend on us to answer your tax questions unless someone here is a tax expert from your state. Best wishes
  • Did you work in SC? If not, then I'd have payroll look into why you have earnings from SC. More than likely you will have to file in both States...GA will be a resident return; SC will be a non-resident return.
  • You could file in both states as a part-year resident. Some states allow this. But you might want to do some more research on this issue first.
