Bet the pass line and take the odds. Place the 6 and 8. The game passes at a leisurely pace when you play the pass line and take the odds. Add excitement by placing the 6 and 8. Press the place bets once if you feel adventurous. You can also just place the 6 and 8 without betting the pass line. Decide your risk capital before starting the session and walk away if you lose it. If you are winning, you will likely leave the table to take a rest or seek some other form of amusement. Craps is a great game because you don't have to concentrate and you stand a good chance of winning or at least losing at a slow rate. Meanwhile, there are free drinks and good people watching.

I like playing the 4 and 10 for $25 each with nothing on the pass and if its going my way I may also put $18 on the 6 and 8 ....you get 2-1 on the 4 and 10..I take a couple and then start pressing it up a bit...I used to do the same old pass line full odds and 2 come bets(full odds) and maybe a little on 6 or 8 or both, and it seemed like I was all set and the shooter would 7 out and all my dough was gone..this new way has worked well that 4 and 10 can come up more than you think give it a try next time and win some money

I've made alot of money playing only... and i mean only on the any craps. Every couple rolls throw a couple dollars on the any craps. It pays 30-1. And the way I see it, and it always worked for me, is you get 15 rides till u go under. But play it every couple rolls and you will see the gain big time. I walked in with 10 bucks, and walked out 2 hours later with close to $500.

Play any strategy you like, keeping in mind that any strategy that causes the dealer undue work should be accompanied by appropriate "compensation" In other words, tip your dealer. If you take care of the dealer, he'll (she) take care of you. The dealer will learn your strategy and make the game much more relaxing for you. All players forget to make bets or don't make proper bets (which costs them in the long run.) It may be due to fatigue, alcohol, or any number of other reasons, but the players who tip are reminded or corrected. Those who don't are ignored. Any minor misunderstanding is generally met with a much more player-friendly response for those who tip. "Stiffs" as those who don't tip are called, generally don't get the benefit of the doubt from the supervisors.
ie. You claim to have bet a $10 five. It's not on the layout. If you're a good player I, as the dealer, will just look at the boxman (craps supervisor) and say, "I forgot to set up this guy's five." and I'll set up your bet. No questions asked. If you're a stiff, I look at the boxman and say, "This guy says he's got a ten dollar five, but I didn't book it and it's not up here." Then I'll tell you you don't have it and ignore you. I might even add "sorry". Bottom line is, you're SOL.
You want us on your side, because it's no fun gambling where you're not wanted. Just like a waitress who gives better service to those who tip well, we're just out to make a living.
I am currently a dealer, however I have held positions as high as Table Games Manager in my 12 years in the industry. I have found this answer to hold true in all 5 states I have worked (including Las Vegas)
