Like most living stuff, bacteria are mostly water.
The density of water is 1kg per liter.
So a kg of bacteria is about a liter - very roughly a four inch cube.
Do I need a microscope to see living bacteria? I need to see the effects of antibiotics on bacteria, but can I see it without a microscope?
