Well, my last road trip was 2 weeks ago with my wife and son when we travelled from Glasgow to John O' Groats and back again. After that we had been on both sides of Scotland. Its a really beautiful country.

The last vacation my husband and I went on was a roadtrip. We drove from Fairfax, Virginia to New York State, across New York and into Ohio and then back to Virginia. We visited family and friends along the way.

Knoxville, Tennessee. (from Oklahoma in July, 2007). It was to visit cousins and attend a wedding. We went from 110 degrees to 70 degrees in two days... I did not want to go home (lol) but alas, we had to.

As a matter of fact, we just got back from Luray, VA about 2 hours ago. A great small town, with the Luray Caverns as a major attraction; and who could not enjoy the Mimslyn Inn.

Last fall. To Santa Claus, Indiana- - Holiday World amusement park, with three phenomenal wooden roller coasters. For me, their "The Voyage" is the best coaster of any I've ever ridden in my life. I take days to get there and enjoy the trip.

This past May and June, my sisters and I took a little roadtrip - from SC to NOLA to Sedona AZ to Las Vegas and back to SC. 6,820 miles when I got home, and I did all the driving minus about 100 miles just outside Atlanta on the first day.

It was several years ago ; MY buddy and I took off in Central Ohio and headed south ... taking the local highways etc ... ended up on Jekyl Island in Georgia.

to michigan. i ending up staying for two years. just moved back home to rhode island in August. the return trip was the best "road trip" i have taken in a long time.

I took my mother on a three week trip just before she died. We visited friends she hadn't seen in thirty years and even an old boyfriend. It was an epic trip, and to the last day she was telling me that it was the best thing I ever did for her.
