Didn't the Catholic church only somewhat recently un- excommunicate Galileo for daring to say the sun did not orbit the earth? "All" scientific discovery would be a bit of a leap, I'd think, unless you have some interesting verses I missed about nano-particles, radio and light waves, nuclear reactions, the way time slows as you reach the speed of light... but... I kinda forgot where I was going with this. I think I was going to ask you for some verses where the Bible had predicted something. As for "Theory" -- it means the same thing as hypothesis, except when it's in sarcasm quotes like you have it. No, really. Semantically loaded vs semantically neutral use.

I can take any religion and retroactively fit it to modern scientific theory if i am willing to suspend my belief in honesty just long enough to bs the world. Bible have only abstract level, not in detail how it happened also it even misses basic equations like E=Mc^2. so I would stick to science.

Crab people in this world are never ready to hear the truth. It makes them uncomfortuble and they never like to hear it because the knowlege of HIS love is something powerful that will force them to change there lives. The Bible hasn't predicted anything, where did you get that steaming load? :-) Where in the Bible is Helium predicted or extreme thermophile life? But the rest of you statement is your answer. Intelligent people don't simply declare something to be truth. They find evidence and when there is enough to show a direction with high confidence they call it a theory.

It is amazing to me how people who are so bent on proof and evidence refuse to use such things when arguing against the Bible. Conversations degrade to sarcasm, rudeness, and an obvious lack of adequate proof to back up their claims, which are often as absurd or more absurd than those made by the Bible. No, the Bible did not predict "all" scientific discovery. Does that mean that you should ignore the actual question and attack the wording of the question itself? There is no evidence to disprove a claim made in the Bible. There are also many holes in the theory of evolution that give much reason to doubt its scientific accuracy. Where are the missing links that relate apes to humans, for example? This is not the crux of the matter, however. I am stupefied by how ignorant people can become when debating science as it relates to the Bible or as it goes against the Bible, as you may claim. Any absurd scientific claim will be taken with an open mind; however, one question that relates to the Bible is greeted with an angry mob. It also amazes me at how ignorant some Christians come across when they make bold claims about their faith, no matter how good their intentions are, but because of misinformation or lack of research, they have no response to criticism and, therefore, appear incompetent. They too engage in this mindless debate and become sarcastic, unloving, and ultimately, ineffective. It saddens me to see this kind of uncivilized debate, and I pray that everyone involved comes to truly understand the great love of Christ and begin to share it with those with whom they come into contact, both with similar and contrasting opinions.

Where are these in the Bible? Book, chapter and verse please. Elliptical motion of the planets? The gravitationmal force between any two objects is proportional to the product of their masses divided by the square of the distance between them? Existence of carbon dioxide? Existence of oxygen? How combustion works? Proportionality between electrical current and potential difference? Human animal and plant bodies are made up of cells? Germ theory of disease? Electromagnetic spectrum? All discovered before 1890.
