Most construction workers are men and they are in an atmosphere of rather high testosterone... Naturally if something pretty walks by they will cat call. It's nature, not an insult.

Some do,my crews did,on occasion.BUT!!when I caught them doing that,I would remind them of WHO'S COMPANY was on the job sign,and if they keep it up,there won't BE a company,,at least for them!HEHE

There is a job site near my home with signs prohibiting that sort of thing, as well as swearing. Times have changed.

I've had some yell stuff at me, but they were so high up I couldn't understand. I've been whistled at too, and it's pretty unnerving. I think they try to stop that stuff when it happens though.

Some do most don't. Some ladies are insulted by that kind of behavior, others think it is funny.

They've REALLY cracked down on this in the US, especially where I live. They used to do it all the time. Now they just stop working completely and stare until you're out of site. Incredibly creepy.
