  • do you want to live or die? the BEST way is to do cold turkey. get that shit OUT of your system. you WILL have withdrawals... but too bad you CAN deal with it and do it. dont ween yourself.. because you will never stop.
  • If you don't stop now you will lose everything anyway's. Trust me. My husband had a problem with oxycodone. It will get so much worse for you. I watched him die and did CPR and brought him back. with our child watching. you may think that you will never let it get out of control but soon you won't be in control at all. This drug will completely take over your life. I have heard every excuse there is to why someone can't stop. So don't make excuses your life so to precious to waste. And soon your whole life will be about your next fix. I wish I would have known before things got out of control for him. I lost my house, car, he lost his job drivers licence and any respect that I had for him. Do your self a favor and do whatever it takes to stop now. Eventually the pills won't do it and you will switch to something else. No one ever means to become an addict.
  • Yo, I'm not sure if you already solved your problem or not, but I have the best way to get off them. I know because this was my 5th time trying to get off them. What you need to do is get a pill or two of 8mg suboxone. (Now I believe you can get them because you said you snort the oxy, so I assume that you get them illegally. The person you get them from will most likely be able to get the suboxone for about $10 per pill. Subutex may also work because it is the same drug just without the naloxone, but I don't know what mg's they come in. Suboxone is orange, six sided, and ONLY able to be taken under the tongue until it fully disolves. Don't talk while it's disolving, and it takes way longer to hit you then oxy, which they fail to tell you. It can take litterally 45-1:30 to work after is disolves). Now, try to follow me on this one... People who use sub usually get it from a rehab place or a doc office that treats addiction. If you never heard of this medicine, it is an opiod that works a little different then the others. The reason this is important is because suboxone also has naloxone in it which is an opiod blocker; however, it doesn't block the suboxone, you will still feel it. Sorry for being so detailed, I just hate when I read an answer on here that leaves important info out. Now my theory, before I found out that it actually works, since sub works in a different way, was to use it for a few days to get you over the opiod withdrawals without causing you to switch the addiction over to the suboxone itself. Also, don't under estimate the suboxone. If you take up to 80 mgs of oxy a day then half a sub pill will be plenty to erase all withdrawal effects. If you take more than that a day, then use a bit more sub on the first day. Apparently it's hard to OD on sub as opposed to methadone which is a plus. Now this is important!!! They say to wait 24 hours after your last dose of oxy before taking your first dose of sub. But 12 hours is fine. In case your weary, this is why it is fine. They say that you can experience immediate withdrawal symptoms if you take it too early because you may be more high than the sub will make you. (Remember I stated earlier that the naloxone in the sub blocks opiods. But anyone who is addicted, especially snorters know that the euphoria and all the lighter high is gone after about 8 hours max. 12 should be more than enough) So... Here's what you do... Throw your remaining pills away or use them all before stopping or sell them. Once they are gone you are ready to easily change your life. After 8 hours of ur last high, take about half a suboxone 8 mg tablet under the tongue. The half life of sub is much longer so you will feel absolutly fine all day. Then on day two take only a quarter, again you will feel fine. Day 3 take a piece a bit smaller than a quarter. And on you final day, day 4, take about an eighth of a pill. If you take way more than 80 mgs of oxy a day, then increase the amount of sub by a little bit, but not by much,,, this is important not to take too much sub. Then, day 5 is you first day with nothing. You said that you tried cold turkey before. So you know how bad withdrawal can be. The only bad feeling you will have by doing it this way is that you will feel sober and normal again for the first time in a while. It doesn't even come close to sucking ass as bad as withdrawal. It's just that u have to get used to feeling the awkward feeling when you get out of the shower when your cold, sweating feels a bit uncomfortable, as does the general cold. (Weather) the most integral part of this process is to only take the sub for 4 days- this is the key to not get physically hooked to the suboxone. The uncomforable feeling along wit low energy will take about a week or less to get used to but is about 1/5 the tourture you would have doing it any other way. Sub is supposed to be taken as a recovery process over a 6 month period. But if your just trying to get off of it, this is the way to cheat the physical symptoms of withdrawal. Now if you have mental addiction to the opiods then that will still be a struggle, you just have to be strong and use you will power. I'm still stuggling with the mental part which at first, I thought I would never have a problem with. Then again, I keep my addiction hidden away from my friends and family, so if you have someone to confide in you may have a great chance to fully recover, which I believe is possible. Also, in case you feel worse than you wish, which I don't think you will (besides a bit of sleep problems), a muscle relaxer called baclofen and a sleep aid called trazadone will work wonders for sleeping, but you won't be able to get them, unless from a doc. And as for the daytime discomfort,( and again I don't think you will need these at all because my method works incredibly well) is klonopin or Xanax. Xanax you should be able to get ont the street but you can't drink on klonopin or Xanax because the combo turns to poison (litterally) in your liver. This may seem like a lot to digest but if you follow through with the first part I swear you will feel better then if you had a cold the whole first week that your clean, instead of feeling as if you are dying. Anyone who tries this approach, please reply to this thread because I want to confirm it's affectiveness. Thank you,
