when I plugin my rca home theater sys the standby light comes on. when i push any button on the unit it turns off.the remote doesnt work too

My tv keeps having a flashing blue screen and it's flashes between the game and a blue screen what can I do? It's kind of old though.

Philips HTS3565D-37 will not play certain DVD's. I have upgraded the software, the discs are coded for the correct region. Any ideas why?

You're reading I own a Malata DVD player (DVD-2818B) and rented Battlestar Galactica Season 1 Disc 2. It plays the previews but freezes on the FBI warning screen. At no point have I been able to access the disc's menu! This has also happened with other DVDs. What's up?

No no it's not that. I actually managed to get it to play the first episode on the disc by pressing stop and then play again when it froze. However I can't access the menu to play any other episodes.
