OK, checking in my calorie counter book, a normal average eating apple, peeled, raw is 44 calories. The same apple, UNpeeled is only 31 calories. This seems to mean that the apple skin is negative calories, meaning it takes more calories to digest it than it actually gives you. This is perhaps because it is such a complex structure of molecules, that it takes more calories for our bodies to manufacture the correct enzymes to digest it, and provide them with enough energy, than the actual digested products give us. So, eat apple skins. If not a fan of apple skins, try celery. It is very low in calories, a single 40g stalk containg just 2.8 calories. Hence why they are often used for dips. Cucumbers are also very low in calories, since they are about 98% water.

Celery really does have one of the fewest. As far as I've heard it's the only food that you actually lose calories consuming

I find pickles are great for curbing my appetite. They have virtually no nutritional value but they give you a burst of flavor. Be wary of sodium though.

I believe I've read that celery burns more calories than it contributes, once you take into account the calories required to chew it. But Cucumbers are mostly water and very low also. Cucumbers also have detoxifying properties. With fruits (and veggies and other carbs) it's not so much the calories you need to worry about, but rather the glycemic index (natural sugars and resulting insulin level). For fruits, most berries have a lower GI and are very high in nutrients (blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries). Grapes, cherries and citrus fruits are low calorie, but high in natural sugars that will leave your blood sugar rebounding and you wanting more food.

eggplant has the least amount of food values and so the calorie content is insignificant. you can eat as much as you want but remember to keep it out of the refrigerator.these berries love to be stored in brown paper bags.
