  • Bus, bike, or walk.
  • Catch the bus
  • yes its the law that you need to report it to DMV. He will need to arrange a ride from a co-worker or catch the bus. He can, however, retain an attny and take it to court asking the judge to give him a provisional license to and from work only. Good Luck...
  • LA has a terrific rapid transit system, bus lines, trains, etc. good thing your brother lives in such a place!
  • 1)Different transportation or 2)Different job or 3)Different residence or 4)Cheat and drive anyway.* *not recommended
  • It is called consequences. This did not just happen out of the blue and was part of a due process. If he did not attend court or otherwise respond to orders to appear, things proceed without him.... and if he has said nothing, then the system has no option but to believe the other complainants or witnesses. Doesn't that make sense? If he now wants to do something he does have a 30 day appeal window from the date of his conviction. If that has passed, he will have to show he was not properly notified of his conviction. It will be more expensive than attending his original court appearances would have been as he probably could have negotiated his offence down. He is now fighting an uphill battle. If he is like many young guys he will ignore his suspension too and try and keep driving. I strongly suggest you convince him not to as this can be the beginning of a very slippery slope which can result in jail time, bankruptcy and a very unhappy few years.... much worse than taking the bus for a few weeks or months
  • write a letter to the judge who suspended his lic. and ask for the " provisional license " and be sure and apologize for any wrong doing on his part, be humble. If they are granted be sure that your brother only drives for this reason because if he is caught driving for any other he will lose lic. for a long time.
