  • Joel is pretty impressive I think.
  • I think I've heard of Joyce Meyer. I've also attended a 1-day seminar by an inspirational speaker whose name I forget. I think they're all full of hot air.
  • Both are full of shit.
  • Uninspired :)
  • I've listened to the both of them before ... They are both saying the same thing ; just in different ways and manners .... Both are still your Bible Thumpers who have a blind eye as far as the Bible is concerned .... BUT; won't face the facts about all of the MISTAKES in the Bible ...
  • I think they make too much money in the name of God
  • Yes and yes and I think both are excellent
  • I have heard of both and find them to be very inspiring. I think that some people question their interpretation of scripture, particularly Joel Osteen's but, who is to say which interpetation of scripture is correct? I find this to be the biggest challenge for anyone to answer, as the answer tends to be very subjective in nature.
  • I enjoy Joyce Meyers. I like her "plain talk" attitude. I try to be careful to remember that any preacher I enjoy is a public person whose private life may or may not mirror their public one. That doesn't mean I can't learn from them. The truth is the truth regardless of who is saying it!
  • Total BULL and well paid for it. I'm in the wrong business. I want a caddy too
  • I quite familiar with them - but I'd never term them "inspirational speakers". They're heretical "Name-it/Claim-it" "power of positive thinking," word/faith preachers for profit promoting the (totally un-Biblical and absolutely obscene) prosperity gospel ... and have gotten rich doing it. (I'm not impugning their motives there: I think it's likely they actually believe what they preach, but that doesn't make them right and it certainly doesn't make their teachings safe: Hitler believed what he said in Mein Kampf and Nuremburg too.)
