If you change your avatar *and* your name, do you tell your 'friends' so they know who you are?

I would tease them for a While, telling them stuff that only friends knew about then tell them ;)

I have never done that. I think most people do not tell others and there are a lot of people on here at the moment under different guises. I do not know if it gives them pleasure thinking that they are making fools of those that were their friends but I know it pisses me off. If they do not trust you and are playing games they are NOT friends It is of course entirely up to them how many names they wish to use but it would certainly be nicer if they did not treat those people that thought they were friends like idiots.It is ruining the spirit of AB.

I may from time to time change the avatar. But never change the name. I've carried that title for to many years now. Even tho many others have used it after me..........Nope my FRIENDS never have to worry about not finding me under the name M.C.S.....Their only problem is getting rid of me...LOL......+5.......M.C.S.

I never change my user name. Because many people don't tell and I know that I hate having to guess who I'm talking to and don't want to put them through that;)

if I change my avatar those who care to notice would and those who don't won't. I don't change my name... this is my name here, at myspace, 3 emails, and everywhere else it is a permitted username.

If I went into hiding I would likely edit my questions to get them removed, drop my name completely and use a generic bag icon

I occasionally change my avatar but I've never changed my name, except for once when I went anonymous for 4 hours. :p I changed my avatar to a generic green AB bag at the same time and then I posted a question asking what my previous user name was. Also at that time Baracaluv reached level 80 and then he answered my "guess who" question. I posted a congrats question for him but I was still anonymous when I did that. :p I realized that looked kinda tacky so I changed back to Brian, thereby giving away the answer to my "GW" question. :p

I've changed my avatar several times. My basic name has existed since I started on AB. My name is pretty much set in stone at this point. My avatar will likely change over time. If I were to do both I would definitely tell my friends.

Nope. If I ever change my name, it's always two words, both starting with P. Most people recognise me through that.

They probably notify their most close and personal friends..the rest of us are left hanging, dangling slowly in the wind, wondering what the heck happened to so-and-so! Happy Thursday! :) ((hugs))

Well when i changed it most of my friends recognized me anyways.
