  • It very much depends on which minority and which small town or big city you are talking about!
  • I think people can live wherever they want to what ever feels the most comfortable for that individual person.
  • Just like suzanne said, it depends on which minority and which cities. For the sake of answering the question though, I would say it's better to live in a big city, there is more diversity. Small towns involve people who don't think outside the box, so outsiders aren't welcomed.
  • Honestly it depends on which minority. Not all minorities are "treated" equally. However, being a minority myself I would have to say that it varries also with personality. I am a very independent person, so I would rather be a minority in a small town (but I hate small towns! They're too small!) because it would be easier for me to make my name known, make sense?
  • As a member of a very small minority I can say that, in general, it is easier for me to not be noticed in a larger, diverser group of people. It is also easier for me to not be noticed if the community in which I live is multi-ethnic. No matter where I go I am the lone Romani ("Gypsy"). It really is better to just not stand out. Of course some small non ethnically diverse communities are great... it depends on the community. I lived in one that was vastly of one that was just fantastic. I put up with a lot of light hearted Gypsy jokes and lived in constant threat of having my hair french braided if I fell asleep and was accepted by a bunch of self-admitted Southern rednecks. I miss that place.
  • Big city = Big variety in people and therefore I would think more likely he would be more accepted.
