A lot of big girls are more accepted by men, out of shape men don't get a lot of play regardless. More is always expected out of men.
-
Perhaps because they are not so shallow as to think that going out with someone should be based purely on looks.
-
Sorry but you do not date someone for their shape...you date them because you like them and not their body
-
They might be under the silly delusion that looks aren't everything.
-
Self-entitlement. They think the world ows them something

Two people who are attracted to each other do not necessarily have to have the same fitness level. Are these women expecting to compensate in some other way? Athletic guys can be chubby chasers. Women with means can provide luxuries that the fit guy can't get otherwise. Lots of possibilities here. How about the starlet-types who go for the froggy-looking older men with big pockets? How about the ugly male porn star with the gut - always surrounded with beautiful babes?
-
Gee, people have unrealistic expectations about the men/women they wish to date? Well, knock me over with a feather!...;-D... . . .
-
Its a form of blind self acceptance, perhaps. It has to be said that the same is true far more often the other way round; large, sweaty, unhygienic men with no care for grooming seem to always feel that its worth asking, every time they go past something nubile in a skirt. They also seem to be the ones most likely to make disparaging remarks about women who have *cough* attained womanly proportions.

When I had what I thought was a beautiful body, men were nowhere near as interested in me as they are now that I am heavier and curvier. I don't care how good looking a guy is, if he's a shallow asshole, there's no way he'd hold my interest for more than a minute.

I wish people would put their feet on the ground when it came to "looks" and "physical shape". They don't realize that people get old and with old age comes physical problems.
-
They might be aiming low.

because it happens. Not all athletic, well-built guys necessarily want the female equivalent. We know it certainly is not that way the other way around. I have seen plenty of well-built women with guys with beer guts. believe it or not there are actually people in this world that care about personality. Most relationships fail but i am betting the ones based solely on looks fail at a higher rate. I'm not saying looks are unimportant. I'm just saying that not all athletic men want the same thing. I have seen plenty of athletic "chubby chasers" who refuse to date women UNDER a certain size.

WOW - You read my mind. I was just talking about a girl I went to school with who is morbidly obese who married a guy who was in great shape. He went to the gym regularly ate very healthy while she laid around and ate. Exercise to her was walking to the refrigerator and getting another soda. I mean really - they resembled Abbot and Costello. Make a long story short - It all came to surface that he was in it for her money & her taking care of him because he was a mooching, free loading parasite who I KNEW was (looks wise) way out of her league. But she never bothered to listen to anyone and married him anyway (she foot the entire wedding and honeymoon needless to say). I don't understand why some people think they will land some hard bodied mate when they themselves have no ambition to shed a few pounds. I mean - I'm not in A plus shape myself but I'm getting there. Working towards a certain weight and or look is VERY hard work. I can't see myself putting all this time & energy into my looks just to settle for someone who is fat and bloated. I was disgusted with looking at myself when I was overweight - and I definitely don't care to look at someone else' fat rolls. Some people have dreams and some people just don't wake up from theirs. I know many motionless, obese people who will swear they deserve to be with someone who is slim, trim and handsome/beautiful BUT - unless they win the lottery - that's never gonna happen. Kinda like the Parody that Mad TV had - "Lowered Expectations" LOL

Because most of us see ourselves in the best possible light and focus on the weaknesses of others, but not on our own. That is why ordinary/average/normal women want hunks..they don't realize that hunks probably don't even notice them. Happy Thursday! :)

If you just started working out you wont see an instant change in your weight. You will feel more energized. Usually it takes between 4-6 weeks to start seeing noticeable weith changes. hmmmmmm...these days, everything has sodium in it. It's a preservative. Look for things that have a lower sodium percentage. When you are at the supermarket, look at the labels and determine how many servings are in that thing you are buying. If there is 1000 mg a serving well thats far too much to be consuming. These corporations are killing people. As you age, you have to start watching what you consume. I hate to say this but I will anyways, if your ahem doody is floating on the surface, that means you are eating too much fat in your diet. Eat a balanced diet of fruits, vegetables.....here's something I do...I have a 90/10 rule....90% of the time I can eat the right things. 10% of the time I can afford to have a little junk now and then. Hope this helps.

Because not ALL men who are athletic and well-built are blithering idiots, capable of focusing only on physical attributes.

That is a GREAT question! I am one of those women, EXCEPT, I had always been in good shape for my height (5'9"), strong and stuff but lately I've gotten a little...well...big. (Not for long, though.) BUT, as an open minded and realistic person, I love men in shape but know that if I wanted that, I would have to be that as well. It's unfair to be mean to men who aren't interested in looking at our flabby beef aprons or unshapely bottoms. Not counting the men who don't mind that, any sloppy lady that approaches some guy that is (and I cringe as I write this) "out of their league" and gets shot down, well, you asked for it. Now that only counts for buff guys that only like buff ladies. It's not a generalization of all guys. I like the way I look lean and mean for myself, but I also like when other people notice my nice body, especially my boyfriend who is lean and mean. I'm all for people loving themselves as they are but not when other folks who don't feel that way get the butt end of it.
