  • For your benefit. . don't categorize that as a "christian" thing to do . . . Not all Christian's believe that.. there are many who don't think that at all actually.
  • O K , first of all no one has a right to tell anyone they are going to hell. it is not up to us to judge the scripture tells us judge NOT lest you be judged and that means if I judge you in a way that is not intended I could be judged the same way. Being gay is not the way that GOD intended for man to live either, HE destroyed Sodam and Gommarha I am not sure if I spelled that correctly, but anyway that was a city were everyone there was gay or having insest and GOD destroyed the city by fire. But the only unforgivable sin is blaspheming of the Holy Spirit. I am not sure on the scriptures on that I havent gotten that far in my studies. But if someone is gay and wants to turn his/her life over, the sin is cast into the sea of forgiveness, remember JESUS took ALL of our sins on HIM when HE died for us at Calvary. And therefore when we accept HIM into our lives we are what is called born again and that is when we become new so that we may live the way that was intended for us as christians. I hope this helps this is what I have learned over the past few years studying and trying to live my life as a christian.
  • Agreed... Any true Christian would say that it's isn't up to us to determine wheather they go to hell or not. All we have is evidence that the Bible gives us. Old Testament (Leviticus 18:22) (Leviticus 20:13) New Testament (1 Corinthians 6:9) (Romans 1:25-27) Check out the answers on this page, http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/5373710
  • God is perfect, and therefore just one sin will separate us from Him. It doesn't matter how big or small this sin may appear, it is imperfection that is sin, that separates us from God. Jesus came to make us clean by death and resurrection. Now, I'm gay. I used to pray hard and ask God to turn me "around", and for some reason that hasn't happened to this day. I still feel attracted to men as before. Is this sin? No. Did I not pray hard enough, want it hard enough, or try hard enough? No. There just comes a point where you are tired of asking, trying and wanting - you accept that this is the way you are. The Bible is so vague about what the term "homosexuality" really is - as far as translations go. Is it sin to have sex with another man? Yes, the Bible says so. But the list of sins goes beyond the obvious. The Torah/ 5 books of Moses is full of listings that prohibit all kinds of things. I believe many would still apply today, but do they? Is it sin to fall in love with a man? Why would it be? It's love - love can't be sin. We can be picky about which sins seem insignificant and which don't. The main point is: Being with God and wanting to live a righteous life is what counts. As long as you try and have your heart set on Him it is irrelevant what others say about you. Don't let anyone, not even church, separate you from the love of God.
  • All Christians do not say that. That's a gross generalization of the most vicious sort.
  • if my pastor told me I was to go to hell for being gay I would say "I never thought of love as a sin, thanks for clearing that up for me."
  • Not all Christians..only the extreme right-wing ultra-conservative "hellfireanddamnation" christians do that. Of course they are very un-christlike when they do that and they don't even realize it. Sad. But they are not good examples of what it means to be a Christian. Happy Wednesday! :)
  • Please do not lump all Christians into one people hating category, who thinks everyone is hellbound except themselves. Anyone who presumes to know the mind of God and says what He will and will not forgive, is not a Christian in the first place, only claim to be. These are the ones who claim to "study" their Bibles every day, yet pick and choose what they want to believe and more times than not, twist the words around to suit themselves. They skip over the "directions" God gives us...love thy neighbor as thyself, JUDGE NOT..lest ye be judged, etc. There is no sin that God will not forgive, if you ask Him and are sincere.
  • Christians say everybody - except themselves - go to hell so, really, who gives a crap about what Christians say? It's not as if they are the sharpest tools in the shed
  • Because it's wrong according to the Bible and it may be different if they tried to change their ways.
  • Christians say that to anyone who doesn't believe, think, feel or act as they tell them to. As for the Bible that too says anything they want it to say
  • Gays constantly sin by being gay. Unless they stop being gay and ask for forgiveness they can go to heaven. They cannot be forgiven if they intend to keep being gay, and they feel the eternal wrath of god in hell. Gays aren't born gay, they allow their thoughts to reach that point and deny that it was their choice and say that they were "born gay" like every ashamed coward. They will burn in hell until they go straight and repent as it is a sin that is constantly repeated until it is stopped and forgiven.
  • Plus, in addition to my old answer, gay love is not love, it's and atrocity and love will always be a sin depending what it is towards. Towards material possesions, idols, animals, corpses, and people of the same gender will always be a rebellious move against God. This corrupt and filthy society accepts gays and it is the ultimate setting for the devil to take over. How dare we look down on the devil when he is almost righteous compared to us, accepting gays and all this other crap. This world needs to burn. Evryone should thank God right now for being able to stand us as stupid and corrupt as we are.
  • any human that judges/condemns, another to eternal death for ANY SIN is CONDMENING himself...they are not 'of God or Christ', to do so...just very ignorant of the Word... sin is sin , and we ALL fall short.... there is only 1 'unforgiveable' sin... but if I were asked, it is a sin/wrong...same as murder, lying, stealing, adultery, beastiality, charging interest,coveting,etc....but all can be forgiven...when asked to be....:)
