It certainly is a contrast in styles....:-D.. I do think the abuses and the political tone-deafness of the Bush era motivated many people to become more politically active. I'm sure if we previously had someone even halfway competent in office, that we would not appreciate Obama as much. I think everyone is setting their hopes too high - it took years to run this country down to where it is now, and good decision making can't reverse it overnight.

No..I think Obama would have been appreciated on his own without that terrible example...however, I don't know if he would have been elected. The people got so sick of the Bush administration and all it stood for that they wanted change change change...I think they feared McCain would continue some of the policies they couldn't stand. So in a way having Bush precede him made the rise to President easier for Obama..Bush was the grease in the wheel of progress! Happy Wednesday! :)

obama is the worse thing to happen to America and hopefully we can get rid of him soon by vote.
