We live in a 'throw away society' is this good and should it be changed?

Our present economics will probably force us to mend and repair rather than throw away. Constant consuming kept the economy bubbling but we've reached a point where that isn't feasible. The only way I can see to change that is one person at a time. Just as people reduced driving when gas prices were in the $4 range, chances are we will adjust and start conserving what we have.

it would help the environment. we cant throw away for ever. socialism isnt going to help. socialism will just make more things throwawayable...especially people and human bodies.
